The Commodore 1431 was a joystick compatible with Commodore's 264 Series of computers (the Plus/4, C16 and C116)[1]. Unlike most contemporary computers, these weren't fitted with the then de-facto Atari compatible 9-pin joystick port, but an 8 pin round mini-din.
Manufacturer's Description

- For use with a variety of video and arcade games
- Custom made grip for better control
- Plugs into the computer in seconds
- Quality design and construction for years of enjoyment
